RTP Database Project Frequently Asked Questions

Q. How do I print out the results of the search?

A. Information gleaned by your search can be printed using your browser's print function if your browser is identified as compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 4.0 or better. On searches resulting in 250 or fewer projects, the Printable Item Text Style and Printable Item Graphic Style buttons are available allowing you to print all results from a Popup Window in a single operation. Graphic Style results using IE compatible browsers will be printed one project per page.

Q. How can I determine whether my browser is identified as compatible with Microsoft Internet Explorer Version 4.0 or better?

A. Click on "Save/Print" at the Rtp Project Search Results screen. You will find this information in the "Save/Print" information Popup Window.

Q. How do I assure the best printout results?

A. Use the "Print Preview" browser function to preview the results and select the range of pages to print.

Q. How do I save (download) the results of the search?

A. Use the "Save As..." browser function and "Save as type: Web Page, complete" to your disk drive or other appropriate storage media. The result will be an html file that you can access offline with your browser and use your browser's "Print Preview" browser function as specified above.

Q. What is the meaning of Unspecified Project Activity?

A. It means that no Project Activity has been specified for a given project.

Q. What is the meaning of Unspecified Project Category?

A. It means that there is no Project Description for a given project.

Q. What is the meaning of Other Project Category?

A. It means that the Project Description does not fit neatly into one of the Project Categories.

Q. What is the meaning of Unspecified RTP Funding Levels?

A. It means that no RTP Funding data has been supplied for a given project.

Q. What is a "Server Error"?

A. This probably means that the server has "timed out". Go back to the search page and repeat your search.
