The Coalition for Recreational Trails, in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration and the members of the National Association of State Trail Administrators, has compiled a database of projects funded in whole or in part with funding provided by the Recreational Trails Program (RTP). Although funding for the RTP program is administered by the Federal Highway Administration, decisions on which projects will receive money are made at the state level. Information in the database is provided by the states and varies in completeness. Your search of this database will begin after you click the "Next" button. You will be able to search the database for projects in several categories, including state, trail activities served, project type (construction or maintenance, for example), and the size of the project’s funding. This database is not designed to provide a
comprehensive guide to trail opportunities in each state. For more
information on trail opportunities in the United States, we suggest you go
to Additional trail projects will be added to this database periodically, as we receive reports from the states. An estimated 1,000 new projects are being funded annually. Once your search of the database is complete, you may either download the search or print a copy for your reference.
